Donald J. Johnston

Donald J. Johnston is International Vice Chairman and is integrally involved in the McCall MacBain Foundation and its planning, initial structure and forthcoming operations. Mr. Johnston is Canadian and was born in a farming community. He received his Law degree at McGill University in Montreal and was the Gold Medallist. Following a career in the law and as a minister in the Canadian Government, including Minister of Justice and Minister of the Treasury, he was most recently the Secretary-General of the OECD in Paris, France from 1997 to 2006. Mr. Johnston's particular areas of interest are education, economic development and sustainable development. Mr. Johnston is fluent in English and French.
